Monte Tamaro, Canton of Ticino, Switzerland

My trips are intended for a more mature understanding of the countries and cities, rather than for recreational or leisure tourism. Food and hotels are only important to the extent that they satisfy basic needs. Much attention is paid to architecture, history, music, and the identities of various communities. We visit art and history museums, where I usually comment on the exhibits myself. Whenever possible, I organize meetings with local communities and intellectuals. These trips are physically (we walk an average of 20,000 steps per day, and sometimes even 30,000) and intellectually demanding.

In Lithuania, elsewhere in Europe and in the USA, I lead intellectual excursions on art, history, cultural and national identities. Usually they are in the Lithuanian language. When needed I can also guide in English, Russian, Polish and Italian.
